As a child living in Sudan, I was fortunate enough to meet a tribe of whirling dervishes. The impression they made on me has been long lasting.

darkness unfolds
swans glide on a lake
as the forest sleeps

pink moon
a swallow dives
across the skyline

amidst falling leaves
a violin with its bow
plays a sweet melody
