over and over
the sound of
white

a wild horse galloped
headlong into the sun
I knew not of its passing
or the trail of gold
it left upon the land

autumn tones
season’s last breath
won’t let go

toes in warm sand and scuffing the sky

breathing
easy again
moon jellies

a full moon rises
in wild shades of red
low over the tundra
my heart is uplifted
by the colors of the land

moon drifting
we dip our oars
in summer stars
