the moment before dawn
tiny circles on water
a dragonfly’s drawing

chwila przed świtem
drobne kręgi na wodzie
rysuje ważka

familiar view
forget-me-nots
on my grandmother’s apron

znajomy widok
niezapominajki
na fartuszku babci

old railway station
on an overgrown track
poppies bloom

sunny afternoon
in a sleepy village
the scent of bread

face by face
the moon shows
its dark side

twarz przy twarzy
księżyc pokazuje
swą ciemną stronę

old synagogue
in the light a menorah
muffled whispers

window frost
in the middle of winter
a garden blooms

mróz na szybie
w samym środku zimy
ogród w rozkwicie
