despite the noise
and chaos
black tulips

In unmoored time…
Last night, as a prone Sloan nude, I dreamed our magnificent flirtation

hand by hand
in the twilight park
a chestnut
meets our silence
once in a while

scented letter
from the war field
in early spring
she finds her love
in full bloom

mouth an O
on her very first day
the fresh feel of air

rainbow flakes
every house in the village
painted new

the courtship flight
of a tattered moth
fading light
