the man and the dog
two worlds
drift apart

my eyesight
not what it once was
but, oh
the way a rainbow blurs
into iridescence

spring
the sun’s energy
awakens
the garden’s
living music

waiting for you
under the pear tree
on our bench…
the wind blows back and forth
the autumn ambers

fox cubs
leap-frog over the pond
ripple of tadpoles

while leaves
still hold raindrops
silver-lined clouds
sit on the mountain tops
a statement to daybreak

snail…
take a long time
to forget
