fireflies
everywhere…
when in dark
i wish my grey cells
fired as much

now there’s no one
to call my own
im going away
all the memories still
buzzing in my mind

a season
to flower and flirt
another to ripe and fall
as i contemplate life
stars beckoning me beyond

out of the millions
i was the one accepted
at birth
now from where this fear
of failure in this rat race

on my first flight
i wished i could
touch the clouds
peering through the window…
flight of fancy

I was like a sadhu
wandering on the mountains
carefree, without bondage
then you happened
and my life found its anchor

being wealthy
i’ve the protection
of a high tech fort
but i can’t handle the weeds
growing within
