and the sea is at my back

starch
my baggage trunked
and bolted
what shall i carry on my
back
to another coast
another edge…
what shall i leave with you?

cranes calling
the scent
of fleeting summer

a sycamore sheds
its bark…a snake shedding skin
earth loves its clutter
