Patricia Nellene Deal (she/her) is a poet, writer, and educator in McLean, Virginia. She holds an MLA from Johns Hopkins University and a Graduate Certificate in Special Education from the University of Virginia. She is the recipient of the Great Blue Heron Scholarship from the Eastern Shore Writers’ Association. Her poems have appeared in or are forthcoming in Modern Haiku, Eucalypt, Ribbons, Petrichor, Anti-Heroin Chic, Penumbra(print), and others.
